#QUOTE

“When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go.” — Carol Burnett

Dream big and never compromise on it. The journey itself will work its way out as long as you never give up.

#READING

Maybe you should do less 'work' (3 min read)

//johnswhiles

Spending more time on "work" usually means you are spending time being "inefficient". We've created a society that has people bragging about working 80+ hour work weeks, and others feel as if they aren't accomplishing enough when they finish their work in less time. The reality is that many people are spending too much time on "work".

Parkinson's Law states that "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion." The problem is that many people give themselves unbounded time intervals and too much to accomplish in an undefined amount of time.

My recommendation is to create one big thing that you need to accomplish every day. If you complete that one big thing, then today was a good day, and everything after that is just a bonus.

DALL-E, the Metaverse, and Zero Marginal Content

//stratechery

TL;DR: DALL-E allows you to create images based on a text-based input.

If you haven’t already heard of DALL-E, you must be living under a rock. I’m eagerly holding my place in line.

#READING

I'm a Scam Prevention Expert, and I Got Scammed (30 min read)

//lupinia

Do yourself a favor and give this one a read if you have the time.

  1. It is a fun one to read

  2. You're only going to get more and more scams going forward

Most people suck at asking questions. Especially of themselves. 11 powerful questions to ask yourself today: 🧵

Let me save you a click, here are the 11 Questions:

  1. What’s 1 thing you can get done now?

  2. In what areas of my life am I settling?

  3. What do you want your life to be like in 5 years?

  4. Do you believe?

  5. What would I do if I wasn’t scared?

  6. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?

  7. Am I surrounding myself with the right people?

  8. Are you in your own way?

  9. Are you appreciating where you're at?

  10. Are you showing up?

  11. What are you letting in?

My personal favorite is: What would I do if I wasn’t scared? Oftentimes, this is after the second question that you need to be asking yourself. First, you should be asking, "What am I afraid of?" or "What is holding me back?"

#PRODUCT

Air Up Bottle

This is pure awesomeness, this bottle adds a scented ring around the lip of the bottle that fools people's senses into thinking that what they're drinking tastes amazing, just because it smells great--but it is simply tap water!

#IDEA

DatingGo

DatingGo is Pokémon Go for dating, rather than catching Pokémon, you can catch a date.

Imagine you're at the park and you see someone cute. Today, you're afraid of talking to them because everyone is on dating apps. Not anymore. With DatingGo, simply point up your phone and now you know whether they're single or not.

Stop hiding behind your phone and put yourself out there.
